Hey everyone!

I just wanted to start up a little build thread for my ride, she's slowly
progressed throughout the time that I picked her up from the dealership
and I just wanted a little place to post my progress through the months.

First off, I honestly was not into cars when I chose the Civic, it was just a point A to point B car,
and did not have any intention on putting money into it, but as I got to know the 8thCivic forums,
and local enthusiast's, it really interested me.

Still my knowledge is limited,
but I'm always open to advice and opinions from you guys, so don't hold back. I'm not nearly close to the
end of my mod bug, and I have so many more ideas that I want to implement into my car, but with time.

My little DD build will probably a tad on the slower side, until I graduate that is. :)

Here We Go...

Disclaimer: these are all iPhone pictures, so bear with me.

April 24th, 2012 - And there it is, the day it caught my eye when I was browsing tens of dealerships that day... even though dirty, I couldn't take my eye off, and the salesman saw that.

--
April 25th, 2012 - And she's mine! They cleaned her up, took out a small dent, had to tear off the front tint :(, and called me the next day telling me to come down and take a look. Hours later, I drove her home!

--
June 2012, So I drove the car a couple months and felt like it needed to stand out just a little, so this was my first little idea, it was to paint the calipers, just to make my car stand out a bit, nothing major, and definitely not costly.

--
June 2012, I then felt as I needed a very small and subtle interior mod just to change it up for once, so I bought this little shift knob off my buddy for $20..
Hated it after a few days, so I gave it away and got a shifter extender.. It was not my cup of tea, so took that off after a few days and went back to stock.
My girlfriend, for our anniversary got me this BWR weighted shift knob, love this thing!

--
July 2012, So I was surfing through the 8thCivic Interior & Exterior section and spotted a Beaks Lower Tie Bar, it really doesn't increase performance in any way, but it does look good from behind. :)

--
July 2012, A day or two after I received the Beaks Bar, I wanted to add a little of a growl to the Civ, so I went to a local Muffler shop and got a Magnaflow Axle Back put on! I got the license plate frame for free at the muffler shop and thought why not! Race Car!
Ended up getting the diffuser to fit again with some cutting!

--
August 2012, So I saved up during the Summer, and found some cheap wheels being sold locally off another 8th Gen owner, so I scooped them up for $400 with tires. I thought it was a pretty good deal with no damage to them whatsoever, still not 100% what kind they are but whatev's.

I also debadged her, bought red lugs, and a rice hook.

I got sick of the purple hook, so i painted it red. Then wanted a cleaner look to the rear, so I got vinyl overlays for the tails from, GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!..., still got these on to date, love them!

--
September 2012, did a few more small mods to spice up the car, took off the Tow Hook, got some Nokya Yellow DRL's, Ultra White License Plate Light.

Before
After

I also bought some Skunk2 Lowering Springs, but ended up selling them, my next major mod for this coming spring in 2013 is COILOVERS!

--
October 2012, the Magnaflow was starting to be on the too quiet side for me, so I sold it and bought a Greddy Evo2 Catback :)! Also took the rims off and painted my stock wheels white, and added red Honda "H" emblems to the center caps as well, Winter was near!

--
December 25 2012, the "modding" took a halt as I needed to save as much as I could for Christmas time! :p And the rent's got me a rear roof spoiler, they even chose it out themselves, I gotta give it to them, I like it!

That's all for now, and I thank you for taking a look :)
It's no $10,000 build, but it's my build, and I'm liking the way it's slowly turning out. I'll reserve next post for future updates to come!

Thought I'd make this thread to keep track of my car's progression. Here's what i got so far...

When I first got her in August of 2012. 21,xxx miles and came with HFP front and rear lips, stock navi, and wet okole seat covers.

First mods were, Graffixpressions Red "H" steering wheel emblem and an Injen CAI.

Forgot I had this laying around from my last car (tsx) so thru it on while installing the intake as well.

A week or two later I got my exhaust in, Skunk2 Megapower R.

Got some JDM emblems and replaced that nasty chrome license plate trim with a color matched one I purchased from CollegeHillsHonda.

Next on the list were LED license plate bulbs and 6k HID low beams and 30k (pink) HID's in the fogs.

Time to lower her! BuddyClub N+ ftw!

And that's pretty much how she sits as of now, January 2013 :)

Future mods include:
Sk2 rear camber kit
Sk2 Megapower Header
Hasport rear mount
rims *unsure of exactly what I want yet...
miscellaneous engine bay bling

Will continue to update this thread as progress is made.

So now that I've got parts sitting around and actually am getting a chance to get to building this sexy beast, I figured I'd start a build thread to keep track. So, here goes nothing:

Dec 2010- Purchased my 2011 CBP Civic LX M/T from Victory Honda of Jackson, TN

Sat bone stock for close to two years before the mod bug bit me:
September 2012- Cleared headlights, poor mans jdm blue reflective emblem background and painted emblems black, k2 fogs, plasti-dipped stock hubs

Attachment 55745

I then had a fleeting moment of because racecar-ness, and got a takeda attack cai, flashpro, and painted my cooling plate and engine cover. Bad idea on the cooling plate, all bad

Attachment 55746

So then I turned around and sold the flashpro, and kept the intake (probably wont be holding onto it for long) and bought some Godspeed coilovers and camber arms. This is when the low began.

Attachment 55747

Left the car at stock height, since I had already purchased some xxr 527's, and headed off to mount them before lowering. (note: I highly recommend this to anybody who will be getting their fenders rolled. Made fender rolling much easier). Check That sexy 4x4. Somewhere in between, I painted the rear and front chrome trims black, added eyelids to my heads, and put on an SI wing.

Attachment 55748

Then got the fenders rolled and dropped it some

Attachment 55749

More pics in the next few days. Adding interior footwell lighting, put on mugen rep lips all around, and going lower. For now, bad pic of me and the wife's r18 from tonight

Well fellas, the time has come again. I was planning on getting a FA5 for a nice daily and an all around car for me until I can get a steady flow of cash and what not until I can afford a project car.

However, doing my usual interwebz trolling, I found an UBER clean EBP for a steal of a price. I couldn't pass it up. So no less than a week later, I now have my dream car.....again....for the third time, and hopefully the last.

I know its not an 8th gen, but when I first came onto this site, I was greeted with open arms and I received a lot of praise for my last EM1. I thought I'd return the favor and share my progress.

Onto the fun part.

Pics from the ad:

Pics from when I got her home and in the safety of the garage:

Specs:

-EBP 2000 EM1
-OEM everything
-OEM Rear lip
-Fogs
-OEM interior & floormats
-Skunk2 Shift knob
-White cluster with carbon fiber overlay
-Alpine Headunit & Kenwood Amp
-Koni/GC coilovers
-Skunk2 Gold LCA's
-Front & rear strut bars
-AEM CAI
-DC Sport header & catback exhaust
-145,xxx OG MILES!!!!

This car has been daily driven for the past 6 years and has been babied so well. I can't wait to do the same. I really lucked out on this one.

Now, plans. Not going to touch the motor for now, because its also going to be my daily and you really can't get a better daily than an almost stock B16.

Future plans:

-Engine Bay cleaning
-Comptech Icebox
-ITR header
-Vibrant 2.5" piping to a 2.5" inlet/outlet Flat black muffler
-PWJDM Blue stitch shift boot
-OEM Si cluster
-K-Tuned B series billet shifter
-USDM ITR black Recaros
-Works Bell Quick Release & lock
-Personal Neo Eagle (Blue stitch) Steering wheel
-35% tint all around
-New headlights (undecided on type)
-OEM EBP fogless front bumper
-OEM Si front lip
-OEM mudguards
-OEM Si spoiler with trunk
-EDM "CTR" mirrors
-Enkei PF01's (16x7 +43)
-Yokohama Avid (205/50/R16)
-(In the long run, a USDM GSR motor/trans w/ factory LSD from HMotors)

Now that I've been around the block a few times, I know when to do something, and when to let it slide. I'm going to take my time and not rush anything. I already love this car more than my last and I can't wait to drive it anywhere.

Stay tuned for new pics!

Thanks

Here is when I first got my 2009 CBP FA5 from Robertsons Honda. I had more pics when it was just bone stock but i couldn't find them all. Well here's one.

Then came the CF type R mugen Style lip and dropped it on skunk 2, lowering springs, Type R Skirts, Mugen style visors, EGR rear visor from TNA Autosportz and CAI. Suposed to be for the FD2 bumper.

Then I got the Js Racing Style Lip and got into Gouki

Did my first show in 08/2010 for RPM in Irvine with Gouki

Then came the RE30 reps from Vinzx Js_Racing_FD2.

Rolled on these for awhile n went lower

Slowly got the FD2 rear, got rid of the skunk2 springs n upgraded to GroundControl sleeves, got rid of the EGR rear visor and switched to type r visors. This was my last appearance with Team Gouki at Sideways Sundays at Irwindale Speedway. Got some coverage. I miss all you guys in Gouki : )

Night-Import:

Cars Hype:

Sub5zero:

Fluffy's Photography:

Then I pieced out the front end. Got the fenders and bumper from a member here and the FD2 headlights from muckles.

Then I got antsy and installed it with the usdm hood and grill.

Finally picked up the CF FD2 oem style hood and Mugen style Grill and new Js Racing Lip with Js Racing Air Ducts.

Then finally headed to the shop for a paint job.

Finally out of the shop and did a couple of my own photoshoot.

Went up to the canyon and took some pics up there.

CSUN photoshoot

Got rid of the RE30 reps and picked up 18x8 +35 Enkei RSV with BFG’s competition tires.

A Friend of my mine wanted to practice some shots with his new dslr. Switched my stock Si exauhst to a Blue Tip titanium exauhst.

Then finally wore out the completion tires.

Rolling shot shoot with newer tires.

ROLLING

Switched with the photorapher n took some shots of my own.

Still more to come with shoot with model n vids. Special thanks to Drew @ TNA Autosportz for help hooking it up with the FD2 conversion. Thanks for looking.

Alright decided to make a full build thread now that I am moving away from my first 'budget' build. This first post details everything that is on the car now and was part of my first turbo build that was on a budget. I recently bought a new setup that I plan to put on the car at the end of March with the help of sniz!

Round 1

First of all I'd like to thank everyone on the boards here that has helped me along the way. I have been a regular on this board for a few years now and I would never have been able to do this without the knowledge of some of the members on here, you know who you are! Particular thanks go to Mucter and Supa Ninja who paved the way of the greddy upgrade builds! Anyways onto the turbosis.....

I bought a used greddy kit last fall and I'm shooting for 400whp with upgraded turbo and accessories.
