Hey everyone!
I just wanted to start up a little build thread for my ride, she's slowly
progressed throughout the time that I picked her up from the dealership
and I just wanted a little place to post my progress through the months.
First off, I honestly was not into cars when I chose the Civic, it was just a point A to point B car,
and did not have any intention on putting money into it, but as I got to know the 8thCivic forums,
and local enthusiast's, it really interested me.
Still my knowledge is limited,
but I'm always open to advice and opinions from you guys, so don't hold back. I'm not nearly close to the
end of my mod bug, and I have so many more ideas that I want to implement into my car, but with time.
My little DD build will probably a tad on the slower side, until I graduate that is. :)
Here We Go...
Disclaimer: these are all iPhone pictures, so bear with me.
April 24th, 2012 - And there it is, the day it caught my eye when I was browsing tens of dealerships that day... even though dirty, I couldn't take my eye off, and the salesman saw that.
--
April 25th, 2012 - And she's mine! They cleaned her up, took out a small dent, had to tear off the front tint :(, and called me the next day telling me to come down and take a look. Hours later, I drove her home!

June 2012, So I drove the car a couple months and felt like it needed to stand out just a little, so this was my first little idea, it was to paint the calipers, just to make my car stand out a bit, nothing major, and definitely not costly.

June 2012, I then felt as I needed a very small and subtle interior mod just to change it up for once, so I bought this little shift knob off my buddy for $20..

Hated it after a few days, so I gave it away and got a shifter extender..

It was not my cup of tea, so took that off after a few days and went back to stock.
My girlfriend, for our anniversary got me this BWR weighted shift knob, love this thing!

July 2012, So I was surfing through the 8thCivic Interior & Exterior section and spotted a Beaks Lower Tie Bar, it really doesn't increase performance in any way, but it does look good from behind. :)
--
July 2012, A day or two after I received the Beaks Bar, I wanted to add a little of a growl to the Civ, so I went to a local Muffler shop and got a Magnaflow Axle Back put on!

I got the license plate frame for free at the muffler shop and thought why not! Race Car!
Ended up getting the diffuser to fit again with some cutting!

August 2012, So I saved up during the Summer, and found some cheap wheels being sold locally off another 8th Gen owner, so I scooped them up for $400 with tires. I thought it was a pretty good deal with no damage to them whatsoever, still not 100% what kind they are but whatev's.
I also debadged her, bought red lugs, and a rice hook.
I got sick of the purple hook, so i painted it red. Then wanted a cleaner look to the rear, so I got vinyl overlays for the tails from,
GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!..., still got these on to date, love them!
--
September 2012, did a few more small mods to spice up the car, took off the Tow Hook, got some Nokya Yellow DRL's, Ultra White License Plate Light.

I also bought some Skunk2 Lowering Springs, but ended up selling them, my next major mod for this coming spring in 2013 is COILOVERS!
--
October 2012, the Magnaflow was starting to be on the too quiet side for me, so I sold it and bought a Greddy Evo2 Catback :)! Also took the rims off and painted my stock wheels white, and added red Honda "H" emblems to the center caps as well, Winter was near!
--
December 25 2012, the "modding" took a halt as I needed to save as much as I could for Christmas time! :p And the rent's got me a rear roof spoiler, they even chose it out themselves, I gotta give it to them, I like it!

That's all for now, and I thank you for taking a look :)
It's no $10,000 build, but it's my build, and I'm liking the way it's slowly turning out. I'll reserve next post for future updates to come!
