Hey everyone, I'm from Toronto, Ontario, just wanna share the progress so far after having the car for almost 3 years. Im still a student so this is gonna be budget build. :deadhorse:

Lets start with back in summer 2010 when I first got the car, hated the stock chrome grille so I immediately bought a black si grille from Honda dealer. and HFP front lip was installed not long after that.

Completed the full HFP lip kits and dropped on eibach prokit

Added Yellow fogs, authentic JDM emblems, yellow DRLs

Bought some 16'' rsx stockies from a friend, and added 35% tints

Decided wanna go lower, so I bought a set of used skunk2 pro-c coilovers off a local 8th member, love the way it looks slammed, but the ride was mehhh :cornmad:

Also switched the yellow fogs to clear fogs for a more clean look, some old instagram pics:

Drove like that for about a year, the coilovers started making noises took them off and bought some koni yellows and neuspeed race springs couldn't be happier, and finally got myself some new wheels

************************************************** ************************************************** ****

It all started about 3 years ago, after I totaled my car (2010 Lancer GTS). My gf at the time was relatives with the GM at a local acura dealer. At the time i was a straight car noob, i knew nothing about them or even been in anything sporty or with any sort of performance. I saw the civic and decided to check it out. The car was already modded by the previous owner. It had a Strup race header, Magnaflow catback, D2 coilovers, and the Rota's, and it was tuned. Stock intake. As soon as they rolled it out I heard the exhaust and got super excited :giggle: I took it for a test drive and having never been in anything nearly as sporty or quick, i had a blast in it :vtec: the high rev limit was amazing to me! So i bought it

Sorry, I don't have many pics of the early days of owning it..but:

Heres how it looked when I bought it

Ditched the magnaflow for a S2 70mm exhaust

Put in some Recaro door inserts and S2 shift knob

Being the noob I was, i got an Injen "rep" intake off ebay and painted my mani cover and got a yospeed battery tie down

Thats about all I did to it until I got bored and wanted more!! I wanted a turbo but it was just too expensive. I found a great deal on a JRSC so I went that route!

Also painted the VC red. I put down 280whp @ ImportDPS

Some cosmetic stuff. I got really sick of the gold wheels and didnt even like them much to begin with. Painted them white!

Some more cosmetic stuff, I cleared my headlights and got an HFP front lip!

Got a skunk2 megapower header to replace my POS strup header :giggle:

I made a custon 3.5" intake and got an MDX TB. No pics of the tb :( also painted the VC white

I ordered a MercRacing stage 2 aftercooler and, after waiting 6 months, it finally arrived..

The bell core

MercRacing high flow inlet

Bellcore installed in the manifold

Everything installed. paint matched intake to the vc

I did a custom mount job of the aftercooler heat exchanger, and cut out the front of the bumper for a cool look!

I got rid of the carbon fiber hood because it had a crack and was frayed around the edges from being worn. I wanted a nice clean OEM look. So did a direct trade with someone for an oem hood.

Threw in some energy suspension lca bushings

Ran this setup all winter before touching the car again. I then finally ordered BBG!

Also got an AEM wideband. I didnt have a gauge pod yet, so I made this awesome custom gps mount for it :giggle:

I finally ordered new wheels!!After 3 years of my current ones it was really time to make a change. I ordered a brand new set of Rota Torques 17x9 +30 in hyper black, wrapped in brand new S Drives 235/40. These aren't mounted yet, but they will be soon! Will have to do some test fitting and possibly roll fenders and such

I wanted to push the JRSC as much as I could, unported! So I ordered a K24 crank pulley off the RDX. Its lighter than all the other k24 cp's out there.

With the help of snizzletoff, I got this installed just before the IMW dynoday. The night we installed it, the car felt absolutely amazing! It pulled insanely hard, however i didnt get a chance to adjust my tune for it. And also, my injectors were being maxed out! I put down 351whp @8000rpm, untuned on IMW dynapak. On the second pull, I put down 354whp @8100rpm. If I had the chance to finish tuning my car and rev the car to the full 8600rpm, I would undoubtedly have made 370+whp!

On my way back from IMW, while cruising along on the highway i heard this loud bang and I thought i just ran something over. But a moment later, my battery light suddenly came. I was  as this never happened before, then I noticed my car was severely overheating! I pulled over and popped my hood and it turns out the pulley on the blower snapped right off! That bang I heard was the pulley breaking off and flying across the bay. The alternator and water pump stopped turning due to the belt coming off. I was frantic and trying to figure out what to do, so I didnt get any pics of it that moment. but here is the pulley and blower

We believe it was a combination of the belt being way too tight and the bolt on the pulley was extremely rusted.

Either way, I had no choice but to remove the blower and go back go n/a for the time being :sadbanana: I'm looking at the bright side, and taking this chance to send my blower out to Stieg to get rebuilt, ported, get a venom cooler installed, and lightweight rotors installed! I plan to be the first one to use the light rotors in an m62 and push this blower even further!

I have also contacted Jose @ MercRacing in regards to an air to air cooling setup for the M62. He has a prototype manifold in the works that will work on ANY blower. He has asked that I join the list to receive this. I wont disclose pricing, but it is about a 4 month wait time. Im heavily thinking about doing this! I'll see how it goes and what I decide to do within the next couple of months.

Well fellas, I’m back in action. If you aren’t familiar with what happened, take a look at my last build thread. [Dominick's Build (Third time's the charm) - ClubCivic.com - Honda Civic Forum]

After being down and out for about a month and hitting rock bottom, emotionally and mentally, things have turned around for the best.

I just got my newest, and hopefully last, car: a 2009 Civic Si Sedan. The color is Galaxy Grey Metallic, its stock and it has 48k miles. Got it for 14.5 because it needs slight cosmetic problems fixed. But other than that, its amazing! The hour drive from the dealer was WAY more fun than expected.

Onto the pictures.

Dealer pics

Back home and sitting pretty

And here are the problem areas. The first is minor paint chips and peeling on the top of the rear bumper and the other is the caulk used to seal the weather stripping is ****ty. Needs to be redone.

Plans are moderate. I plan on having this car well into my 30’s. No need to go fast or boost.

-Mugen Front Lip
-USDM Mugen RR front bumper
-Mugen RR Rear bumper
-Mugen Side Skirts
-Carbon wrap rear trim
-OEM FA5 rear spoiler
-OEM Rainguards
-OEM Integra Type-R (DC5) rims
*17x7 +60
*Silver finish
*20mm spacers
-225/45zr17 Yokohama Avid
-Function & Form Type 2 Coilovers
-Custom Vibrant Exhaust with Flat Black muffler
-GPRAuto Ball Shift Knob

If feels so good to be back in the game. I just want to take some time and thank everyone who contacted me outside of the forum to help me get through some tough times. I really do appreciate it guys.

ONTO THE NEXT ADVENTURE!!

PasswordJDM Yellow Fog
UniqueModz Polycarbonite Lenses
Xenon Depot 6500k HID Headlight Kit
20% Tint All-Around

Day 1. I ended up keeping the vehicle stock until the vehicle warranty expired.

Added 20% tint all around and installed my fogs to start. Next up was HID -- Had some bad experience with cheaper plug and play kits so I ended up going with XenonDepot. Super happy with my purchase-- great customer service and I have yet to run into any issues with my lights.

Only pic I had..

After doing lots of research and speaking with Chris, owner of RedShift Motorsports, numerous times he had convinced me to run his Neuspeed/Koni setup. Installed my Progress 22mm rear sway bar at the same time along with Ingalls front camber bolts (upper bolts)--Honda crash bolts (lower bolt) and SPC v2 Rear camber arms. I also installed my Enkei Rpm2's wrapped in BfGoodrich KDW2's 225/40r18.

Next up was my Invidia 70mm N1 exhaust and Skunk2 Alpha Header. I also installed my Buddy club short shifter and Russel clutch and brake lines with motul rbf600 brake fluid.

About a month went by and a deal arose for an Import DPS Intensity Intake (v1). Ran into some issues with the order and to make it right Rick hooked me up with one of their new V2 setups. Super happy with the intake. Seeing as I work for Honda it was easy for me to get my hands on a J35 Throttle body, so I decided to install this as well. Ran this off a generic Flashpro map off of Flashprotuning.com and slightly adjusted the A/F ratios to make them more consistent.

Next up I decided I needed I needed the HFP Front Lip. Also was good timing to replace my fog light lenses with polycarbonite lenses since they were both cracked.

Now as the car currently sits.

More Pictures to come! Looking forward to seeing what the KSi's are capable of as there are not too many people running them. I'll be starting my tuning process next week as well by the one and only VitViper! Stay tuned for dyno results and some 'better' current pictures when the vehicle is all back together...

So i have been wanting to upgrade my shifter bushing and what not, but no clue where to start. I guess I jus need the basic knowledge of the pros and cons. I am looking for a smoother transition between gears and better response. My dd is an 09 fg2. Any knowledge on this issue would be great!!!

ill start with a very short story on my previous car for those that dont know. it was an 06 civic EX coupe, that i had bought to save gas from my 83 silverado that i built and was daily driving. ended up putting too much money into it (no performance other than intake and resonator delete and si axelback which prob added nothing) bought it august of 06, and she was finally totaled december of 2012.
before:

After:

so after a littler searching and a lot of test driving i decided to get a wrx. so i placed my order on Jan 28th, and was told it wouldnt be here until May. well i got lucky and one was built but not allocated so i picked it up on Feb 26th! this is my first stick shift, and it took some getting used to, but i think i have it down fairly well.

the day i picked it up

LED licence plate lights

15% tint all around except windshield and moonroof

Nvidia q300 catback with burnt tips (love it)

and ordered kartboy short shifter and bushings, have RA mudflaps waiting to put on. and OEM allweather floor mats

Installed mudflaps and painted the wrx part of the fender badge with touch up paint. and simi debadged it

still waiting on floor mats, short shifter, and shift knob.

i decided you know what lets pull my motor and build the block lol

ofcourse i did it in my front yard, it was a pain! but totally worth it. me and my buddy pulled the motor out in one day, it took us all day but we did it ^_^

Sneak peak of whats going in lol :ohsnap:

CP Forged pistons and brian crower rods...

And there it is, the motor was finally out! Pulled out from the top -.- in my driveway. it was on jack stands for quite awhile ...

on the crate and ready to go to the shop!!

how can you be so heartlesssss

bits and pieces of my motor lol .

So yeah, the car was automatic but we decided you know what? this automatic might not be able to take the abuse its about to get, so we decided to pick up a full manual transmission set up and convert my car to a 5 speed. lol

my car is a 4 door but the transmission set up was completely stripped from a coupe ^_^ built transmission rocking a competition stage 4 clutch!

I wouldnt suggest boosting on the stock rods, theyre basically chicken bones. I got my self some brian crower rods and CP Forged pistons from my boys at REAL ST Performance, a performance package that ran me 800 bucks

i also ordered this from Corsportusa.com lol dont know if it would help in a boosted car but what the heck....

Ofcourse cooling is an issue with the R18a1 that thing runs super hot! this will help a bit...

There she is, the block nice and clean with the new heavy duty rods and pistons in place durable up to 800 HP. Dont think my r18 will make those numbers... lol!

3 pedals ;) :dancingcoolsmiley:

SHES GOING IN!! :wheee:

shes basically done :p 0 mile engine!

some interior shots, OEM in dash, SI seats, NRG quick release, 5 speed!

There she is doing her first pulls on the dyno! tuned on e85 ;)

delicious lol

she made 320WHP and 300lbs of torque on 10 pounds, im waiting for a new map sensor so i can up the boost to 15 pounds im aiming for 400whp :bunny:

Well any feedback is greatly appreciated this was my first attempt at a build thread i hope you guys like it, sorry about the pics with my instagram around it lol didn't save the original ones!

to start this off here are a few pics of my first car the day i bought it.

Then i had a wreck. crushed the whole front end. had to get new bumper, fenders, hood, radiator, radiator support, headlights etc.

and this was the restore.

i realized i had turned my car into a rice burner and hated it. i then "restored the restore"

I had just washed it, when i finished that i installed my new headlights and detailed it.

i then started my long weekend by polishing the stock SI rims.

I sold my EM1! i swore i never would, i love them! but this one was purchased after it was stolen and stripped, and it was not properly put back together. it was always messing up , and noting would fit right. i think it had been wrecked but that another story. so i was going to get another EM1. but i decided on this instead.

this was the night i bought it.

The car was perfect, or so i thought. came with loads of parts done to it all ready. I/H/E, lowered, rims, tint, cobb tune, . it was perfect.
but as of late i do not feel like it is mine. I love it, but i havent done any of the work to it. so it will be going back stock. as stock as i can get it any way. im going to pay it off and then start my build! it really needs a Paint job so that will probably be first on the list. this is going to be a SLOW build! i have learned from the EM1 that you dont cheap out with aftermarket parts. you get what you pay for.
but here are the pics from its first "photo shoot" lol

well like i said it will be a slow build. but it has started!
got to love getting OEM Honda Parts!

Also added window tint to the front 2 windows. the back was already on 15% so i figured might as well match it up.

well this is a minor update. ill have some more coming up in the next month!

I bought my civic new back in 2007. I was working for Hyannis Honda at the time and got a great deal on it. Weeks after I bought it I added the full HFP kit. A few months later I added a Tsudo 70mm angled exhaust and an AEM SRI. It stayed that way for about 4 years and 100,000 miles. I also had a 93 mustang cobra which I had for years. I finally sold it and decided to buy a GReddy turbo kit for my civic with a flashpro used for 1700.00. I ran the GReddy kit for about a year with an awesome tune form Vit. As most GReddy kit owners would agree it wasn't enough. So decided to buy a Full-Race kit used for a good price. Now everything is done with the exception of a set of traction balls which will be installed soon.

Mod list

Full-Race turbo kit
Garrett Gt3076r turbo

Tial mvr wastegate

Blox vacuum block
Full-Race 3" exhaust
Custom fuel return
Aeromotive FPR
Walbro 255
Id1000
Golden eagle fuel rail
Clutchmasters fx300 clutch

Exterior:

Dx trunk lid with shaved emblems

Interior:

AEM digital boost gauge
AEM digital wideband
JDM red steering wheel emblem (only because the chrome peeled off the OEM one)
Pioneer AVIC-d3 Double DIN Navi
Fd2 type r shift knob and boot
Skunk2 short shift adaptor

Suspension:

Skunk2 gunmetal V2 rear camber arms
Full-Race traction balls (not yet installed)

Hey 8thgen! Thanks for checking out my ride, it is a work in progress, any feedback is appreciated! Greetings from Panamá!

I've bought this car back in 2011, used with 35,000 KM or 21,739 miles :umad:
It had front end damage and I had to change the steering rack :deadhorse: oh well, that's what happen when you buy cars from auctions, anyways, all I can say that I'm really happy with my car.

So why the change from blue to white? I had to paint the car all over, since there were lots of paint chips and stuff like that and the amount I had to pay to change color was not that much, I decided to go with Grand Prix White from the S2000 and I always wanted a white car.

These are my current mods

Secret Weapon R SRI
TBS
TB Thermal Gaskets
J35 TB
Hondata Reflash
Skunk Megapower RR exhaust
Mugen Floor mats
Momo Shiftknob
Red JDM H Badges

Future Mods
Header (not sure which one)
Lowering Springs/struts

This is my daily driver and I like to make it as fun as possible, so provided I can pay the bills, will add more mods :dancing:

Anyways, here are some pics from the day I got her:

Took her to my parents house (3 hours drive)

The front bumper had to be replace and I also wanted to replace the headlamps, originally ordered black Halo/Projector headlamps (I like them), but the seller sent in white ones. Worked out a deal with him and decided to keep them

Also I decided to change the spoiler

Since I got the new bumper and spoiler, it was time for her to go to the body shop to get painted, so I took a two week vacation out of the country to find her looking like this:

When I took her home:

Then decided to change her shoes to this:

Ordered TBS, thermal gasket and J35 TB from Ryan (AutoFair Honda) on this forum and I installed it myself:

Ordered Red Honda Emblems and smoked headlights :wigglesmiley:

And installed them:

Bugs

Decided to use my OEM 3rd brake like from old spoiler and install it:

Some A$**** drove really close by and broke my side view mirror and did not stop :sadbanana:

So decided to replace them with Spoon style CF side mirrors:

someone also decided to steal my front Honda emblem and screwed it

Now some random pics of me and my car:

My Hot model

Le me xD

Before owning my Si, I used to own an Acura RSX Base AT '02

Proto's ASM FG2 Build

So I have been a member on here for over a year and never did an introduction thread or build thread, and a few people told me to put a build thread together so finally I am getting around to it. I have more pictures on a separate hard drive that i need to get also so this is a work in progress.

To start, I bought my Si because my previous car was on is last leg and finally gave up on me, till my Si I had only owned a Toyota. I am lad I made the move to a Honda, and I love my civic even more with every part I put on it.

So, as the story goes, I found my car on craigslist of all places, as i looked ino it I realized it was a dealership that was selling it and decided to give them a call, I set up the test drive the same day because I liked the way it looked and heard nothing but good about civics. So the salesman takes me out for the test drive and I was driving like a little old lady because well, it wasn't my car, so I wasn't going to beat on it, but the salesman told me to step on it and get it into vtec, this was my first time ever driving a car with vtec, and I loved it. shortly after getting on it and playing around I told the salesman I would take it, I gave i a good look over and then we sat to talk numbers. I got it for a steal, my credit was good and I was approved, I drove it home the next day. From then on it has been a ton of fun and will continue to be a project to me to make i look better and go faster.

The day I bought it.

Came home he next day.

Its first few tiny mods
-Window Visors
-Flashpro
-Red front and rear badges
-Hybrid Racing shift bushings

I couldn't afford much due to some extreme credit card debt and a mortgage to pay, so I sold my bike, it paid off 3 of my credit cards and started funding a new exhaust, I got the Full-Race after reading a ton of reviews and watching a ton of videos, still love it to this day.

Shortly after my exhaust though I wanted more, but i wanted to stay legal (with a cat in the header) I read a ton about i and the only way to do so was buy a shorty and a high flow cat downpipe. I hated the idea and vibrant had just discontinued the HFC header, so I finally gave up on the idea of having a cat and went with the Skunk2 Alpha race header, really happy it went that way, because he difference in performance was huge. Then after installing it I came up with th idea of building a HFC, I was an engineering major for awhile and could easily design one to fit somewhere, and i came up with this.

I put it on, turned the secondary O2 back on and drove for hours to see how it worked, no check engine light, and no fume smell.

I drove around like that for a bit and then wanted more power, so i set out to find the best intake I could, Import DPS just put out the Rick Spec'd V2 out and it was what I was looking for. I got it with the velocity stack upgrade and the next day installed it.

I drove on the I/H/E with a basemap for awhile, my injectors constantly hitting 85% duty cycles, so I needed somethign bigger, I didnt want to waste the money on the 410cc RDX injectors knowing full well that I planned on going bigger later, so on Black Friday I called up Rick at import and asked about something hug so I could run e85, he recommended the Grams 1000cc injectors, this was a great option as I planned on supercherging and runing e85 so I went and picked them up same day. They run great by the way, no issues at all.

I finally got a tune after the injectors, and it ran great.

I got bored of the interior and put holes in my mats but didn want the stock ones again, so I looked into Lloyds mats, they worked well and are much more durable.

Then got my new "dildo" adjustable shiftknob, this thing is awesome and works like a coilover to raise it up or down 5".

I kept going like that for awhile, until Rick at Import DPS started parking out the "cherry bomb", he had a Skunk2 intake manifold, Skunk2 throttle body and Skunk2 fuel rail packaged together at a steal of a price, so I picked it up as quick as he put it up.

I hated the HFP wheels I had on the car, they were too heavy and I'm not a fan of 18s

So i got a set of Enkei Evo8s and had them powder coated candy red.

Then they went on the car and I couldn't be happier.

I still had yet to do anything about the suspension and i blew a front strut, the ride sucked really bad so I asked Chris at Redshift what he thought a good cheap option would be. Koni had a sale going and i got Koni ST.R orange front struts and Koni Yellow adjusable rears, then I went with Neuspeed sport springs, its an awesome and very well riding setup. The drop is also just enough that i cleaned up the gap but didnt make it too low for winter driving, or going over speed bumps.

Then I did some interior Modifications again, a new candy red GRFXP fatboy shift knob, a black Bride shift boot, and a black Bride armrest cover from redlinegoods.

I had picked up a spare valve cover awhil back and ha it powder coated to match the wheels, came out nice, and cleaned up the bay.

Thats it for now, I dont have all the pics and I know i'm not listing everything done yet, but its a start, hope everyone enjoys.

Part 1 of my car's life: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/car-b...sis-build.html

Prologue

So after over a year with my K20/24 setup, I had an itch for a little more.....I decided to sell my motor and swap in a stock K20, and throw some boost at it :dancing:

After having the privilege of taking a visit to Full-Race and talking at length to a member who has done just about everything you could imagine and then some to his car, I knew that I would never put anything other than a Full-Race kit on my car, and that I also really wanted to try out the EFR series turbocharger.

This build has just begun and will be updated throughout. Parts are beginning to roll in but here's the basics of what will be appearing soon:

- Full-Race Turbo kit with Borg Warner EFR 7670
- Fuel Injector Clinic 1050SP Injectors
- DeastchWerks 301 pump
- Carbonectic Pro Blade Clutch
- OEM RSX 4.38 Final Drive
- XLR8 Gauge Pod
- AEM Digital Wideband/Boost Gauge
- Hybrid Racing EM1 CMC
- 4 Bar MAP Sensor

Mugen Si build from Hawai'i

Welcome. My girlfriend and I recently took delivery of this Mugen Si with 36K on the clock. This is my girlfriend's car, but I will oversee the build. For those wondering what I drive, you can view my build thread HERE. Although the pics may suggest otherwise, the car is not in it's best condition. The clear on the roof & driver quarter panel is starting to fade, there's a few dings and the wing is missing! Plans for the car is very subtle. The car is so good out of the box, there is not much that needs to be done. I only want to "enhance" what Honda/Mugen already did to the car. The car will be restored (wing & paint), engine will get bolt-on's/tune and suspension will get a few tweaks. To keep things organized, this post will have a modification list & master index which will be updated regularly. Stay tuned & enjoy!

Tom's 2009 Si Coupe Build

I purchased my 2009 Si coupe in November 2012, with just over 34,000 miles on it, bone stock

I got the car right at the start of winter, which meant I could not start modding it until spring

My Si is used as a daily driver in and around the city of Pittsburgh, so my plans do not include anything too crazy for a while, but I still do not want it stock.

During the winter, I ordered a red Si battery tie down from Yospeed.com, just to make the engine bay look a little better

Next came some jdm emblems

Sticking with the minor mods, next came the nokya yellow fog lights

Did more appearance upgrades- painted the calipers red

Then I got 35% window tint all around

I didn't want to go too dark to attract cops, so I think 35% was a perfect amount for me

Next, Finally a performance mod, K&N SRI

:woowoo: I absolutely love it, it sounds so aggressive and improved throttle response noticeably

As she sits today

After 6 months of owning the car, I have done some minor mods with much more to come, some near future mods include
-Flashpro
-HIDs
-HFP body kit
-Headers
-Rims
-Other minor appearance mods

Some hopeful long term mods include
-Boost
-Coilovers

What rims are these? Civic Type R Front Conversion?
